First-review practice kit

Try an NDA review without a client document.

Download this fictional agreement, open it in Word, and inspect the suggestions from your review. It deliberately contains inconsistencies so you have specific checks to evaluate.

This is an authored practice document and evaluation checklist, not recorded LexDraft output or legal advice. Results may vary. Do not sign or use this document for a transaction.

1. Open the fictional agreement in Word

Free download · No account or client document needed · Editable RTF file, opens in Microsoft Word. Prefer to paste? Copy the text below.

Copying stays in your browser. This page does not send the practice document to a model.

2. Add LexDraft to Word

Already installed? Open the LexDraft pane in Word and sign in. New here? View the Microsoft listing to install the add-in, then create or sign in to your LexDraft account.

Your Microsoft account and LexDraft account are separate steps. Workplace administrators may restrict add-ins.

3. Review against a clear brief

Choose the Mutual NDA playbook and run a review. Then check defined terms and cross-references. Evaluate the output against these questions:

Review each proposed change in context. Accept only edits that match your brief; reject the rest. Check whether the revised agreement actually resolves each issue.

Decide whether it earns a place in your workflow

Record the time spent, issues missed, suggestions rejected and edits retained. Repeat on another fictional agreement before trying approved client material. A useful result is one you can verify and finish in Word.
